I think it looks really good- huge potential- it doesn't look as good to me as the higher end cameras like the alexa, or sony f35, f55, f65 or even some Red stuff (actually better color IMO than Red)- but its really close and I think when shooting raw, can intercut with any of the "big boys". The custom LUT I made is also based on Alexa rec709 color matrix which really helps with making the colors and skin tone less "canon".ġ.
That is exposing for the highlights at as low of an ISO as possible, often underexposing by about 1 stop to 1.5 stops at times depending on scene contrast, then adding a custom curve to bring it back up to a balanced exposure- this puts middle grey at a more balanced zone. I finally have a workflow I am happy with and figured out the best way (for me) to expose the camera to look like a cinema camera when shooting raw.
